Jackson Hise makes Dirt Late Model Dream debut at Eldora Speedway
Traveling straight from the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series races in Georgia, Jackson Hise and his team invaded Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon after Wednesday's FloRacing Night in America event was rained out.
With a talented 49-car field on hand for the first preliminary night, Hise qualified 19th quickest in his group before making up three spots in his heat race to finish seventh. Needing a Top-3 finish in his last chance showdown, Jackson came up just one spot short of making the $25,000-to-win prelim feature with a fourth-place outing.
Looking to race his way into the 30th-annual Dirt Late Model Dream on Saturday, Jackson got buried in a last chance showdown and was unable to pick up a transfer position.
Jackson finished third in the rookie point standings for the weekend.
